Baldwin-McKisson House

This house is distinguished by the Gothic window in the front gable of this house and the long narrow windows on the front façade. An earlier attached garage has been incorporated into the living quarters and a second attached garage on the west side has reproduced and matched its verge board to the original. The Gross-Gregory House was a twin to this, before its front window treatment was altered.

Harvey Baldwin built the house, probably as an investment property. The McKisson family lived here for a quarter of a century; Howard Croy was the next long term owner; the Edward Scribner family lived here for more than 30 years. The house was, long ago, a boarding house for Western Reserve College students and has come full circle —it is now owned by Western Reserve Academy and is used for faculty housing.

The foundation is sandstone and concrete block; there is a rear addition.
